Greetings!! Quick intro: the preschool I work at decided to hatch chickens. Since I used to have parakeets and cockatiels, they decided I was the bird person and should be in charge. Unfortunately, they had no end game in plan and I as such have ended up with two chicks.

I'm concerned that I may have a rooster, and I have no clue what breed he may be - the only info I have is that the egg he hatched from was blue.

The attached pics are from when our Nugget hatched, and the two chicks together. Nugget is the darker one with the visible comb.

Nugget is a boy. Blue egg means the hen is either ameracauna or easter egger. The ones ive seen tend to be brown and black feathered his are paticulrly striking and beautiful. And his legs arent paticularly blue so hes likely crossed with something making him have olive egger genes. His feathers are maming me think he might be crossed with a dark cornish. But that might not be accurate.

The other chick its hard to see the comb but it looks like you might have a hen there. That ones legs are kinda blue or green hard to tell but looks close to nuggetz color. She would lay blue to green eggs dependibg on how far diluted her genes are. Her feathering is closer to what ive seen on easter eggers. :)
Beautiful chickies!
