Nugget looks like an easter egger mix with some wyandotte in him. Fiona looks like an easter egger mix.

Nugget looks like a handsome cockerel. I hope you will be able to keep him. Not many vets are competent to de-crow a bird. If the no-crow collars worked well, everyone would be keeping their roosters. So I doubt that.

Thanks, we're hopeful, too. Our peepers are finally going to the vet to get properly sexed and checked up - though were fairly certain we have a boy and a girl. Our vet does have a bird speciality, so I'm hoping they'll be able to at least give us good options other than freezer camp. He's got a huge personality, loves to cuddle, and I'd hate to leave Fiona alone.

I know there's a family at the school I work at who has a rooster, but they aren't in my class and only attend half day. It'd be difficult for me to make that connection and meet them.
