post any and all waterfowl pictures here!!! ponds, pools, aviarys, coops, runs, etc.

Today is Monday so that means my ducklings (?) are now 5 weeks old!! (Thats just what Im guessing from when I got them. They are most likely 6 weeks)

Updated pictures of Lilly and Daisy are soon to come. As soon as the weather clears up. I am almost 100% sure Lilly is a Cayuga and still not sure what Daisy is you guys will have to help me! :)

I got the little ducks outside this weekend. Tell me if you all still think they are Cayugas

And here are a few updated pictures of Crickett, Stinky, and Capt. Jack. I thought Jack was being picked on by the other ducks, and my husband swore to me that his chest was just skin. He is a fawn & white runner I am guessing since his chest is full of soft fawn colored feathers. I think Crickett is a female and stinky might be a drake as crickett has started quacking. Sometimes I can't tell who is doing the quacking but I am sure in a week or so I will know. When the big ducks get fully feathered will the drakes have their curled tail feather?

We were outside fixing some flower beds and the kids were having a great time finding worms to feed to the ducks. Apparently Jack didn't think Greyson was working hard enough to get him the worms. Greyson was giggling up a storm while Jack was nibbling on his ears, fingers, toes, etc. LOL!

Pic Update on Lilly and Daisy!! They are growing like weeds I still cant determine their gender since they only quack when they get scared and they do this little undertone quack. I love hearing it.

Here they are! What breeds do you think?

Lilly

Daisy

Both

BTW, this was after they soaked me by zooming around in circles diving and doing all kinds of duck things! Lol

They are both beautiful, love the color on both, still thinking cayuga and maybe swedish? No drake feather yet.

I have never noticed a strange after taste. I prefer duck eggs over chicken eggs they taste better to me.
Has anyone eaten goose eggs I just got my first two goose eggs And I was wondering what they taste like?
Love Thoes ducks they look their are a couple kaki or rouens and a welsh harlequin
And I am not sure about the rest

I get goose eggs from out Chineese white geese and they are very good to eat! Huge eggs

Here's mine. These are my 1st ducklings but they have all made it. They are in the pen during the day because they're not safe from the bigger birds around yet. But we have a fenced in yard so they will be roaming free soon enough. They stay in a guinea pig cage at night in the laundry room that they are growing out of quickly. Soon they'll be outside all the time. Just in time for the nice weather
