This situation was the first thing on my mind, when I woke up this morning. I had felt sick for the two of you, imagining what this must be feeling like. It's reassuring to see the outpouring of support exhibited on this forum. It is an "open forum", all opinions need to be respected, but, maybe and probably more important should be peoples feelings. All and all, this is a comforting place with people who usually have a common goal, and this was evident in the many, emotional, responses. Like Wildsky, I've been following this thread from the beginning (I've also been biting my nails and crying!). I'm soooooo glad the birds finally made it to their destination alive and well. I've never shipped birds, and after reading this, honestly, I don't think I'd have the constitution for it. I worry myself sick over receiving shipped EGGS... EGGS. Just reading this thread has had to have raised my blood pressure. I can't imagine how much worse the worry would be if I "personally" knew the birds.

I guess I sort of felt I personally knew these, in a way, because I've been "watching" Justusnak's rescue from the beginning, too. Goodness, isn't it time for her to catch a break for all the wonderful things she's done?

Justusnak, you really have my heartfelt admiration... as do all of you who have taken the rescued birds to give them good homes.

Thank GOD! I have been worried all night. Like everyone else the first thing this morning I was checking on them. I would still try to contact some kind of consumer advocate via news station or news paper and tell them this whole story. Maybe then someone in the future will be spared this happening to them.
