Not sure if that was for me or the other person who ordered from cackle. I specifically ordered 15 golden duckwing phoenix from them. The golden, bbr and silver are sold at different prices, so no....they aren't supposed t be assortments. Either way..i'll go directly to a breeder next time! I thought this was the best option since no one local breeds them.

I haven't looked at their large fowl, may have been their bantams where I saw the assortment only thing. Either way, I don't doo hatchery stuff, was just over there a couple years ago looking since I knew they guy supplying them back then.

But no, you didn't get all goldens that's for sure

yep very very few people have the Ismer and Schubert German lines here. 2 that I can think of with any numbers to them. they are an East and West German version from back in the day. One side went one way, the other an other. Once they grow up, you'll be able to see the obvious differences in the 2 lines. And I'll be happy to help you pick and choose which ones will fit the line the best for breeding too

Well my phoenix rooster is starting to attack people. Can't even get in the run without him charging me. He's going to go, but first I'm going to get a few clutches from him x my silver phoenix hen. Is it true that with BBR x Silver they can be sexed by color? Because I have two from that cross and one is silver and one is a pale reddish color. I can't tell if their roos or hens. They both have reddish combs, but I have 12 'sexed' pullets from cackle that all have reddish combs, even though their only 3 months old.
