Gold is 1 part silver 1 part red. So a gold by silver mating will give you silvers. Silver is sex linked , so parental color/sex determines the chick/sex/color
I was always told it was sexlinked but never understood it. So if I crossed a gold(c) with a silver(h) will the gold/dark chick be cockerel and silver/light a pullet?
Basically flip the sex.
Its a little more to it than that. But barred is sex link too works just like it.
If you use a silver hen, her males will be silver.
In a gold case, gold is already half silver so youll get more silver off that cross than a red cross.
Once i have a second, ill post all the combos for you
here is a then and now picture of my favorite pulley so far. Top picture she is only 5 months old and bottom is from today at about 8 months old. Very small still. He tail feathers dried and fell at about 6 months old. Anybody know why? Her new feathers (the 2 middle main sickles) are still in full blood but haven't exceeded length of the rest of tail feathers.
