LOL> Well, I have just about seen it all. We laugh about this, but the reality is people purchase from people like this and then what happens. There was a guy in California who had longtails and he sold to two people here in tx, using Knutt Rhoders pics on real onagadori, calling his birds onagadori. Then when they got the birds, they weren't onagadori and it turns out they had some sort of feather problem that was genetic and the feathers would fall out and develope cysts in the folicles. OK< needless to say, the lady spend $150.00 a bird and was charged $250 to ship them. $250 dollars to ship 4 birds..... Conscious is what we need to have. I mean, how can you treat a person like that? The rooster the lady had was unusable and the other party had to put the birds down. I can't really be angry with the uneducated buyer for using the name onagadori, I mean, they don't have a clue. I just try to educate them and move on.

That's pretty much what I was just saying to WCLawrence.
That's my biggest problem with stuff like that. People who are new to everything buy and spend a lot of money, and end up getting screwed over. I honestly dont think the guy even knows what he has, but as yall can see from his reply, he is obviously great at lying....not so good at grammmar

funny post there too WCLawrence!

That reply I sent you two, he actually put it in his listing, and admits in it that they are from smuggled in eggs.....that's really not usuing your head there.

Oh well, I'll get off this subject, dont want to ruffle any fathers!

LOL @ WCLawrence. Too right! Is this even English?

"This auction is for 6 Pure Japanesse Onagodry [long tails] (these are 15/16 Onagodri 1/16 China) of the Blue Grey collorig (HATCHING EGGS). I will shipp exstaras if avalible. I will try to shipp within 7 days of the end of this auction but it may take longe. I believe I am one of vary few breeders with this exstremly rare breed of Gamefowl from Japan. There tails can grow up to 30 ft. it is said. However I keep there tails trimed down to a small normale linth to try and keep them as clean as posable.
I cannot garinty hatching eggs to hatch or replace damegaes coused by the usps. If you need to reach me my number is 1-606-786-6370. I love to have happy and repeat custamers but can only do so much. It takes 21 days for chicken eggs to hatch. I can give more info on the care of hatching eggs if needed.
DISCLAMER: FOIL DOES NOT STOP THE REDEATION FROM EXRAY. My wife is a nerse, the only thing stops exray is lead. However I use foil to minamize spells from dameged eggs. If eggs are exrayed you will get an averige of 1% hatch rate, if not then depending on your incubator and system of hatching should get around 90% hatch rate. Xray kills the nuclious in eggs and will prevent them from hatching properly, we have done exsperamints here at the hospital to see if the xray sayings a believes were correct or not.
God bless.

My onagodri was brought to the us by an egg smegaler, there fathers do grow in such a manner, the stag in the pic is pea comb, he is 1/32 blue China. All my birds are dark legged. This bloodline contains no less then 15/16 onagodri, and 1/16 blue china from which they have taken the blue color. I get $500 a pair off them. I cut the fathers on the sadle and the cook fathers and streemers to keep them out of dung. I have had custamers to produce birds off them with tails 22 ft. and they contain the 1/16 china to make them produce game like fowl. they are not as deep a gamefowl as the chinas or other blood lines but are game. I also have other colors, every long tail breed but many I do not sale from. The only ones I do not have are the pure Japaness White Onagodri, and if I could find someone ho could brooker them or there eggs to the US at a fair price I would have them to. I have 55 lines of long tail fowl ad the longest I have produced a tail was 33 ft.. I do thank you for your concernse and becouse of my honesty will list this also on my auction. God bless"

I had to think long and hard on that. I almost did.

They do not have even one Onagadori trait visible in that photo.

Considering the breed has numerous distinct traits, at least one should have shown had they even been F1 crosses.

I liked how their fathers grow.. (means feathers)

Cant believe he listed they were "smegaled " into the US in the listing, that's just asking for trouble.

at least nobody bid on them

I know. The sentence structure is also horrific. If I was actually doing editing for work I would have highlighted and rewritten whole paragraphs, but I didn't want to spend more than a couple minutes on showing examples of errors. lol

Which ones, the 22 Ft fathers or the 33 Ft fathers? lol

I couldn't believe what I was reading! I was wondering how much more brazen or ignorant they would appear to be before I got to the end of the paragraph. Maybe I could find a "smegaler" and "brooker" some eggs to make a fortune myself, eh? lol

Yes, and thank heaven for that!

Lord aint that the truth! I should have asked him how he built his tomebaku! That would have really thrown him...

here are some better pics of my pair, and I also took some pics of the chicks, but I have a new problem: I was told that I could identify hatchlings from my self blue OEGB hen because self blue x bbr=black with some red or gold

my OEGB hatched some eggs about a week ago and some were black and some looked just like little bbr phoenix I know they were crosses because my phoenix hen was rasing her babies and not laying eggs. All the eggs my OEGB hen hatched must have been hers. The day after they started to hatch, a possum came and got everything the mom, babies, nothing but bloody shells left. I am now thinking that some of the babies my Phoenix hen hatched could have been from my self blue OEGB, but all but 2 of the chicks came out chipmunk-y and those 2 were black. So now I have some pics, and I have noticed that out of the 5-5 week olds, two have really long tails, big pink combs, and one is light on it's head, and one is redish. One has a medium tail, and 2 have short tails and are small and girly looking. So now I'm wondering, which ones are crosses and which ones are not? I hope this is not confusing the way I have worded everything. One more question, the self blue x bbr half come out black and half are chipmunk, are they sex links at all? I am noticing the black ones all come out male.

here is all 5:

the 2 that look most like roos:

got lost on some of that, wore out from work, but yes bb x lav should yeild all blacks, would think the others were from a different breeding.

The lead boy in the second pic is definately male, hens wont have all that red and blackon them. If they are getting long tails, they are at least partial phoenix, would think all phoenix. give them another month or two and it will be obvious for you though.
