Yup. Sarah and I like him .Just wait until he is a year old.With more experience,you will know when not to cull too early.Compared to mine yours look great: mine have a lot of feathers missing off the backs of their necks. I think they are "coming" into their own and taking it out on each other. LOL
He is nice and the only thing that matters is if you like him. I kept one black cockerel out of my hatches but unless he is going through a "gangly" stage I am not liking him much now. I will give it a little more time before I cull him.
The pullet is very pretty and I agree with the other poster (lotsofcluckin ?) about the color leakage.
Have you tried sitting close by and offering treats to her? I have found with mine this seems to bring them around some. Good luck.
