Yeah I have a quick trigger finger they say!!

His name is Ernie I think. My hubby loves him and loves to watch him intereact with the other birds. He loves his color and has always been attracted to Barred Rocks. Those are his favorite so it's no wonder he's in love with this bird!!! lol

I'm happy to say I'm even more in love with them now and their little babies that were hatched just a few days before today.

They look a little rough around the edges, a few of them are still molting or finishing up their molt.

My neighbor down the road has Buff Orpingtons - I don't know anything about their quality regarding breed characteristics, just that they have big beautiful birds.

I got an incubator and a few new hens at point of lay, and wanted to try incubating the first few eggs I got from my new girls. Ran down to the neighbor's and sweet-talked (read: begged to buy some, they insisted on giving me some) until I came home with more eggs in my shirttail. Didn't want to hatch out babies and them be lonely!

They hatched over the weekend, and I took pictures today before they went in the brooder. Can't resist sharing ...

(Darling)

and ...

(Precious)

and, of course the whole set, because why not?

The other two are miscellaneous unknown white roosters including at least one leghorn over hatchery quality silver laced wyandotte. That's Dottie laying down and Sparkles (named by a dear friend via webcam as she hatched, because of the glistening on the wet on her).

Of course I don't know if any are girls. I'm just going with positive thinking.
