All of my babies are rescues.

Butterscotch is 17 years old. I had her almost since she was born. I actually had her since she was born but I gave her and her sister away, but rescued them back from the people I gave them too.

Bashful, Butterscotches littermate. She went to Rainbow Bridge in May

FatBoy showed up on our doorstep 13 years ago. Spook was the first one that could get near him. Now he's a daddy's boy.

My new babies!!! They are littermates, 1 year old, and all have the same birth defect of their eyes. They are semi-blind, but please, no one tell them that they are. Handicapped is not a word for these 3. Special needs may be the word. They have the need for extra love because they give out more than they ever ask for

I rescued this girl from a horridly abusive home/crack house situation. She had been thrown down a flight of stairs and the growth plates in her Ulna and Radius (front lower leg) were totally damaged, her elbow was deteriorated by the time she was 6 months from arthritis. She was a keeper. Best dog in the world lost her a few years ago to cancer but she was a great great dog. Her name was Savannah.

This is my Kittyboy. He's the best cat ever. He's a maine coon mix that I rescued from the shelter, though as you can see in this picture, he loses his "mane" during the warmer months. He follows me everywhere, "helps" me unroll the toilet paper, "helps" me clean things off the table when he wants attention (read: he knocks stuff down, chirps and runs away until I pay attention to him), and never uses his claws when I play with him. He insinuated himself into every single baby picture I have of my son, even the bathtime pics.

Kittyboy also plays with my toddler, my son will often drag things around while the cat grabs the other end of the object and chews, or chases after. He is irreplaceable.

Edit: Kittyboy put himself in this bag. I was studying, and next thing I knew the cat had calmly and deliberately inserted himself. I had to take a picture.

Kittyboy when my son came home from the hospital. He loves his people brother.

Beautiful animals, CoyoteMagic. My blind cat just passed on a few months ago. He was 18 and I still miss him.

It's very kind of you to take those kittens in.

Here's my namesake Imp, er I mean Blimp. I bottle raised him and his 2 brothers. The brothers went together.

and Zulu Khan. Zulu and Blimp's mom (Cleo) + 5 more were abandoned by the druggies across the street. Only these two survived, by moving into my yard.

15498_img_0126.jpg

This is Zulu and Cleo. Can't tell were one ends and the other begins.

An old feral that adopted me, Mini. Her face is in the door jamb cause there is a furnace vent on the other side. At one time all the strays on this street looked like her. Her dad Ol Mange was very virile & fertile. She's the last.

And this little "chicken" moved into the coop last summer. Never found the owner so now she resides in my kitchen.

Two of my chickens came from a rescue. And there have been so many others over the years. Miss each and every one.

Imp

This is Ashley, a Suffolk cross ewe. I was working with a girl who's cousin had to sell off all his sheep. Apparently they were show lines. IDK. They were druggies, and were having some major money issues. I decided to take her in, though I had never had a lamb before, let alone a bummer lamb. She was from a set of triplets and was only a few weeks old when I got her. She never did take a bottle, and as she got older, could only graze a little bit at a time, or she would almost bloat. She is so awesome though. She is about 7 years old now, and unfortunately suffering from minor arthritis. I just think she is the most beautiful sheep, IMO

This is Candy. Got her from the Oregon Humane Society. Originally got her as a buddy for my little Netherland Dwarf rabbit, Mr Hops, but they didn't get along. She always tried to whoop his butt, unless they were having play time outside. Sadly, I lost Mr Hops earlier this year, but Candy is still going strong. She is a total piggy!

This is Rusty, a Silkie mix roo. Best roo EVER! Rescued him from the neighbors, who were trying to reduce their roo population. He was headed to the auction.

This is Koda, a Nubian wether. I got him from another girl I worked with (horrible pet owner
rant.gif
- but that is another story) All of her other goats had died from one preventable way or another. When she had to move to the city, I told her I would take him. He was very thin, had lice and had horrible skin. He is about 9 or 10 now and is such a good boy. Good thing, since I am always having to mess with him. lol
44142_dscf0114_087.jpg

This is George, an English Bulldog. I got him from the clinic I was working for. Previous owner brough him in for euthanasia, saying he had a bad back. He was 1 years old, and was fine. Come to find out, she had another Bulldog, an unspayed female, and she didn't like George "mounting"her all the time. George wasn't nuetered either. I had George for about a year, but he was so depressed in my home, since we had 5 other dogs. I found him a home where he was the only dog, and he has just blossomed. He is so spoiled in his new home, and I couldn't be happier for him.
44142_george.jpg

This is Elvis. He was found as a stray. I was actually lucky enough to find his owner, but they decided they no longer wanted him. They asked if I would take him, and I had just lost my Bassett Hound to cancer a month before, who Elvis looked very much like. We ended up having to rehome him, due to the fact that he got in violent fights with one of my dogs that I already had. He was such a character, but very unhappy in our home. I was able to work with a local Bassett Hound rescue and found him an awesome home.

This is Oma, a Jack Russell. I got her from the local animal control. I had just lost my senior Pit to cancer, and I really love older dogs. So I went down the shelter and looked for an old dog, and there was Oma. She was found as a stray, so no history was available on her. She was on borrowed time at the shelter. Not one person had looked at her. She was 26lbs( She is now 15lbs) and all her teeth were green. She had a major dental, leaving her 3 teeth and we found out that she was hypothyroid. We've had her for about 3 years now, so she is about 13-14yrs old. She suffers from arthritis and dementia (she doesn't respond to the meds for that), but I feel that all old dogs deserve to live out their days doing what they want. Oma likes to sleep and eat. lol This is her last Christmas with my other girls.
44142_100_2077_001.jpg

Mango (with a haircut, she usually has a full, long coat.) She came from a feral litter
44142_100_1074_064.jpg

Bloat, a rescue from when I worked at the clinic. He looks mad, but he is actually one of my sweetest cats. He drools when he gets his lovin's
44142_100_1076_066.jpg

James. Got him at 2 weeks old. Some little girls found him in their garage, and didn't want him. So.....
44142_100_1641_007.jpg

I have a few more cats that I have rescued, either as strays or from when I was working at the vet clinic, but don't have pics.

I am going to be kind to you and I encourage others not to flame you. Post this gorgeous guy on craigslist, or find a no kill shelter near by and please do it right away. That guy is far too skinny already. He deserves a really good, loving home.

Your Savannah reminds me so much of my old Pit mix, Gator!. He was such an awesome dog, we miss him tons. Lost him to cancer a few years back.
