Looks like a male to me too.
If it wasn't a Silkie, a breed I don't know anything about, I'd say a definite boy. Not knowing silkies well, I can only say I believe it to be a boy.

You think the same thing as me, great minds think Like. Gmork stands tall, hroot stands tall, and turtle just acts like a hen. But with my luck, I have a trio of beautiful boys, that won't do me any good to hatch chicks next year lol

Ahh but Silkie boys are so sweet.
My friend had four silkies. Supposed to be two girls and two boys. Turned out to have three boys. They were really sweet.
We wondered for ages why one of them (the hen) was so tiny.
I love their eyes too.

Thinking Turtle is probably a hen.

I'd be happy to have at least one hen from the three. I was like 99% sure Gmork was a rooster when I bought him. But I needed a rooster, so I can always rehome Groot. I suppose I can convince my hubby to build me a bachelor pad

I have about 7 silkie chicks, 3 weeks old. I'm hoping for at least 2 pullets from them. I'll be happy with more. I already suspect 3 roosters in that batch though, just by the way they act. I got 2 really nice blues in that bunch, and a super cute satin paint silkie too (I think its considered a paint) i could be wrong though! So in a few months, I'll have more gender questions

I'm assuming you're pretty silkie "smart". When the streamers come in on silkies, are they pointy like the regular rooster hackles and saddles feathers, and have that shiny look too? Not sure if I worded that question right, to get the answer I'm looking for.. lol I understand they will be like a silkie feather, but will they be rougher feeling? I've never actually put my hands on a silkie rooster streamer to know if there is a difference. Compared to the hens feathering.

Thanks, was my guess with the “big” ones, too. I know it’s still too early for the silkies, I’m just not very patient

Someone might be able to sex the silkies, but I won't be very good at it.
I might be able to tell if I actually was with them, but it's just so hard with photos.
They're cute though.
