Post pictures of your dogs!!

yes you can
I love my dog.Or at least, I used to.

My parents got him from a lady who couldn't keep him because he was so large. He is a LabadorXBloodhound.A brindle color. We had five cats at the time, I was little and my sister was a baby.He was perfectilly fine.Fine with the chickens, the cats, me, my sister, everything. Then, We moved here.starting last year, he attacked one of the two remaining cats, he drew blood,,but Didnt kill him.She cat died, not because of the dog though. Then he attacked my last remaining cat, Twice, last year. Now, whenever there is food around they are in the same room, he starts growling.Last night I had my chickens and duck free ranging. The duck was going into the garden and I hearded her away, she ran from me and the dog, RAN after her, trying to catch her.He has NEVER done this before.I don't trust him around my animals anymore.I can't get rid of him, My sister would hate me.I've put a muzzle on him, he keeps taking it off.I'm building him a dog house soon.

Help?Suggestilns?

This is my guess, the dogs that go after livestock don't see them as their pack. It's up to you to speak to the dog in its language, claiming those animals and showing the dog you will protect them immediately and every time even if he's looking at them too intently.

This control over your dog should be started over inanimate objects first, like his toys, his food, people food that just dropped to the floor, etc.

I would really watch a bunch of Dog Whisperer online and see how he explains dog psychology and what the ears and tails and eyes mean when they want to attack something and how to address it so they stop the behaviour.

Please watch dozens of episodes, they're not boring either - communicating with dogs on their level and identifying their problems is literally another language and it will take repeated exposure for you to recognize it.

It may seem like being bossy but the dog seems to think it's at the top of the pack which makes it unstable, dogs are happiest when they have a strong leader that they look to for direction and trust and respect. Then they feel safe and pay more attention.

Oh, my, gosh hahaha nice party :D What kind of pup is he?

I have watched many Dog Whisper.

But you see, I trained him with my birds, When I first got them he would chase, but after we gave him some sharp NO's and training, he NEVER touched them. Not once in 7 years.Till now.......
