post your chicken coop pictures here!

I think they all look so cool. The northern coops look like house's. Sense I live in south Louisiana it's the heat I contend with. My duck's and hens free range all day so they seem to like the shelter in the night. We get coons so my coop is built like fortress so the dogs and coons can't get to them when there roosting. I have only lost one quail and that was because of a 2 inch gap in the door . The coon tore the little head off . Now I put a 2X4 on the frame of the door no problems sense.

Its so scary hearing about this little gaps that dont look like a problem and then you wake up and find dead chickens, gone chickens or hurt chickens :(

Well, a weasel or mink can fit through a 2" hole. If that's the culprit, typically you'll find a bite back behind the head on the neck and the bird will be bled out. And they don't normally stop at one. 1/2" hardware cloth will become your friend real quick... either before to prevent, or after to recover and repair.

In the 20X 20 is the chickens and duck's and in the lean to I have the quail, pheasants and rabbits 20X10 . My automatic watering system waters everything and I all so built these nifty feeders so they never run out ,it stays dry,and it's super easy to fill.

I keep the food tins next to them with a scoop. So far it's working out great. I've had them over a year.

Everything drinks and eats out of them.

This is the beginning of the next coop it will be just like the one I all ready havre one 20X 20 and attached a 20X10.

I dont think therea any weasels or minks where i live but i should do some research. And noble what did you use to make those holes? Do you you think it would work with chickens and waste?

What are the dimensions of the plywood? What would the interior dimensions be? There is nothing in the picture to give any idea of the size.

The plywood itself looks,to me, to be 4x8 sheets, which would be big enough, in standard coop fashion (frames and square and stuff) for 8 but in this configuration it really doesn't look to very roomy at all. Too narrow. Unless maaaaybe they had a run but even then I don't think so
