Interesting. I do some dog training as well. Any suggestions for dogs who want a chicken for dinner? lol

with 6 hens you'd want 2 or 3 boxes. I'd go with three incase chicken math plagues you. As far as where to feed, I personally prefer outdoors, but with our freezing winters it tends to come indoors on particularly cold days so it doesn't freeze as fast. It just tends to get the feed and the coop dirty really fast when it's inside.Love all the pics! We are complete chicken newbies and we've learned alot from these forums. We're planning our coop and run and I've got a few questions. We will have 6 hens, do I need 6 nest boxes or will they "share"? Also, where do feeders and waterers go? In the coop or in the run?
We were worried about the chicken dinner thing, so we introduced our dogs to the 'puppies' as soon as we got them at two days old. Seems to have worked... Our dog gives our girls a kiss on the beaks to greet them every time he sees them even though it makes them squawk!Interesting. I do some dog training as well. I see that you used linoleum as your floor, so did I. I like it because I can hose the coop out if I need too. Another thing I used was washer trays. I was able to fit two of the big ones in my coop. All you do is fill them with hay or shavings, when it comes time to clean out the coop, you just pick it up and dump it in your litter pile. Very very easy.
