post your chicken coop pictures here!

I have considered maybe just waterproofing it, I kinda like the rustic look as well. I do have chicken wire around the top gaps, no pythons here thankfully but we do have black snakes and other smaller snakes, so far no problems with them but we will see. I will be adding hardware cloth this spring to certain areas. Apparently my girls like the vents I have found them perched at the top several times!

I wouldn't add hardware cloth to "certain areas". I would replace ALL of the chicken wire with 1/2" hardware cloth. Chicken wire has little strength against predators but does a fine job of keeping the chickens inside.

The hardware cloth will go over areas on the coop that have chicken wire temporarily. The only areas I will keep the chicken wire is over the run. I had problems before with chicken wire and found out how useless it is.

Now why does that remind me of Michael Jackson? Oh... That's why. Yeah paint it (paint it paint it paint it) red! :gig
I don't get it...why does it look like Michael Jackson?

That is so good that you've had experience w/ chicken poultry hexwire so you understand what we're talking about. Someone posted on here a while back showing night vision camera catching a raccoon squeezing through the floor boards of a coop to get to the chickens at night. It was such a nightmare to see that devious critter able to collapse its body to squeeze through the smallest crack. Every predator on the planet seems to find our chickens tasty!

All the zippers on the jacket, all the doors on the coop....Oh, forget it. I'm weird anyway.

Now I get it now! Lol! We live with lake Michigan to the west of us & another big one to the north of us, so all access/windows/ doors are on the east and south sides of the coop bc of the crazy winds off the lakes, so this view totally is like all his zippers!
