Where are you located?? Maybe I can help.
update on mine. Halfway putting up walls and leveling out the flooring.
TeeHee - did you like my rant?
Yeah, try reading the Silkies thread sometime - about 5,000 pages of reading and photos - but I learned a lot on there about more than just Silkies.
I live in 61920 area code IL
Thanks! The inside coop is the premade one we had, and we added a larger than the original room to it's back, and then went around it with the fencing. Roof needs to go on yet. Unfortunately we had to re-staple (with hammer in 1 1/2 in fence staples) the ENTIRE THING today. Live and learn. Regular staples are CRUD. I didn't know. I hope to add the roofing tomorrow (same fence material) and then steel roofing material from our house (leftover) on top of the run over the house section/nest boxes only (for snow protection).
I have put these pictures up before, but for anybody that was curious here is the whole shebang...
I need to re do the roosts. I didn't know they were supposed to be 2 x 4's the flat way. We have some scraps, shouldn't be too hard.
Sorry, wasn't meant personal... was just stating one/the (obvious?) reason for repeats... this IS a long thread, but there are those much, much longer. You might could read it all in TWO days
Here is our first coop. Built by my husband. Just need to add a roost, finish nesting boxes and possibly surround with pavers.
(Not staying in here yet, just testing it out)
Sprung for the hardware cloth
That will make the natives here happy.
Not that my tractor isn't swaddled in a protective layer of hardware cloth and tin.
Lol. No offense taken. I've seen some long threads on various forums, but I think this one takes the cake.
