my chickens loved being out in the yard.

Hi again. Is the pen covered with bird netting or wire - otherwise the hens will use that ladder to escape over the top. Chickens are clever to figure out such things.

hi there Sylvester, if they climb the latter they will jump into the garden which is fenced in.that ladder I made for the coop but they didn't use it so I took it out. Instead of climbing up to the perch the flew up instead.

OK, you know your chickens best! I had a White Leg that loved to perch on things so I had to be careful that nothing was close to our property fence but she was good and never "flew the coop" but just to be safe we made sure not to tempt her.

Hi again, haven't been on this thread for a while, but since people are planning coops, I thought I'd post some pics of the bunny pen we're making at the moment, should work nicely for feathered occupants as well.









































Still a few steps to go before it's finished, but the end is in sight.
