Good place to call it a day. I can't believe how much my husband got done today. It really help that he had some of the 2x4's precut and the truss built. Trying to beat the next storm coming our way.

I love your stairway to heaven. We are building a our second coop right now. I have to share this with my husband. Very cool.

Just lock up the old one and feed them in the new.... If I have a run though I feed out in there once they get used to the new one. but if they had free range around the new one while you were building they would be "supervising" big time... Better to keep em out from under foot though. like I said I get about with a walker Oh I can walk some but i get very tired. So I have to have a place to sit close at hand. Dont need to be trippin on a nosy supervisor... Do you get snow there? or mostly rain... the reason I ask is it might be a good idea while your constructing to add in a partial cover for the run.... I am always thinking of the sun here. it gets 110 occasionally and Shade is essential. deb deb

Deb - thanks for the advise. we do get ALOT of rain here, not to much snow. I've bee thinking about a small cover but can only hit one project at a time to my HB. We are also thinking about adding a paddock to the run.
