post your chicken coop pictures here!

Here you go

This is a grow out pen I am building from track and stud

Joints are easy, can be done with pop rivets or self tapping screws

I'm using screws the same ones used in dry walling with gypsum board

This is a completed pen made using the same material, cost me about $80

Awesome build Rob... curious... How does the galvanized metal handle the weather there... in the Philippines? Salt in the air... i mean.

Is the coop for chickens or the goose/duck in the picture.  What breed is it?  I'm thinking ducks are hardier than chickens and if I ever lost my flock I'd consider ducks in lieu of chickens next time! Welcome to the site!

The coop is for the chickens. I have a pair of Grey Geese, the reason being is that if you raise the geese with the chickens they become the watchdogs of the flock. Geese are very territorial and protective and a pair of mature geese will deter any dog.

YIKES!!!!! HELP!!!! Should I panic if I've got a hatchling at only day 19???!!!

I've got 4 more solid pips as well... Could my incubator day counter be off? Is it to high temp wise??? Will this cute ball of fluff be ok until the others hatch???

they are good for about three days... they live off egg yolk they absorbed in the process of hatching... Thats why hatcheries can ship day old chikcs by mail... Deep breath...

Deep breath.... Innnnnn........ Out.......... Innnnnnnnn....... AHHHHHHHH!!!!! Lol...
:barnie
Sadly it looks like one that zipped could not emerge from it's shell... Very still even though the shell has split all the way. Pray it's just resting before final push.... Meanwhile a second pipped and zipped supper fast... That makes 2 squirmy little chicks... This new one looks to have some yoke still.... I'm not panicking... The first one 6 weeks ago had the same and is now fully feathered and enjoying her second trip outside right now with her sister hatch mate and 2 adopted sisters.... Hope to ease them into the flock in a few weeks... They are only a week-10 days younger than the other chicks out there with the hen that hatched them...

I know right... I just wish my hubby would get his butt moving on our new coop or back off and let me do it!!!!

I have no choice now... The new coop has to be done post haste. These new chicks will have roughly 6 weeks to grow... That gives his over a month.

Thanks Deb, I dont really know how long it will last regarding the weather but it has become very popular here as an alternative for lumber mostly with expats, but we will see.

Guys.... One of my chicks is stuck. Part out... Rest stuck in its shell... I've upend the humidity praying for the others but idk if I should try to help this one out?!!!
