VERY nice build for sure! I enlarged your photo and see that you are using 2" x 4" welded wire...your setup is backed up against the forest, you live in PA....you have predators. I would suggest that you get a roll of 3' wide 1/2" hardware cloth and run it around the entire bottom perimeter of your coop and run, apron it down and out into the ground at least 10-12"..something like this:

This will help keep the 'diggers' out of your setup. Your ladies are gorgeous, your setup looks great...keep them protected!

They will be much safer and its not that bad any more to take a piece of wire and lace them together to make sure that everything is set and impossible for get thru!!!

Mulch for run, I did read it keeps moisture in but the run has a complete roof. If I end up not liking it, I will get rid of it. Chickens seem to love it for now.

Awwwww... My girls are in honeydew heaven right now... I cut a honey due and cantaloupe up last night and saved the guts.... They are now being enjoyed by my feathered friends..... :cd happy chickens yeah!!!! Now... My question... Can I give them the rinds off of those fruits as well and what about pineapple? I'm going to grab a head of cabbage to hang up later today for them to play with.... I think they are going through a mini-molt so I'm trying to up their vitamin and protein intake to help them along...
