post your chicken coop pictures here!

I thought I was the only one who did stuff like this...wishing for a camera to document my stupidity sometimes.

I usually lay a 2x4 between the roll and the straightened part, makes it a lot easier since it keeps the roll stationary. If you need to do large portions, I suggest cutting the wire with an angle grinder, it's a lot quicker than using some sort of cutters. Also, pushing a stick into the hardware cloth roll keeps it from untangling and from rolling. Small tips and tricks.

@FelixFelicis Good looking setup. If you're up for some constructive criticism, I would still rethink placing the coop inside the run. It's going to be a pain cleaning underneath that thing, and you will have virtually no room to maneuver in there. If you were to move the coop on the outside of the run, cleaning would be easier, and you could access egg nests without going into the run. You could also hang some perches in the run.

Another thing to think of, I don't know how much rain and aerial predators you've got there, but I'm assuming you might see your fair share of both. Putting a roof on that thing might be a good idea. A full roof built with Onduline panels would add up to about 100-150£ for that thing, and would keep your birds safe from hawks and owls, and also keep them a lot drier.

Nice job,
Felix

I agree.. However I would go cover half of the run with a roof, the rest with wire mesh.. for all that Vitamin D !!!

I would put the coop next to the run and cut in a door for the chicken .
1: run and coop are separated
2: add a sliding door to the coop to isolate each
3: if you have to work on either you have you chickens safe.
This is how I did my door.

Just trying to help.

That's a good point. We're so high up north that the sunshine comes in at a pretty low angle, but Britain is a lot further south, that would help let in some light. Corrugated plastic is another option.
