We had read that they are docile and friendly as well as cold hardy, which is why we chose them. I didn't realize that they were dominant in personality. I guess it's a good thing that we decided not to mix the flock then! Lol.
Wyans probably are fine amongst themselves being on an equal personality level. I just hesitate mixing assertive breeds with timid breeds. You will have a lovely sea of ranging girls when they grow out - beautiful birds but I was glad I read several honest reviews about them before we invested in them to mix into our gentles flock mix. I only get the gentlest of temperament breeds for our backyard to avoid political flock dramas. We get less or average-sized eggs with gentle breeds but it was so worth it to us not to have the combative breeds which we eventually re-homed. It was our personal choice. Every owner chooses their own favorite breeds. That's what is so nice about chickens - so many breeds to choose from!
