post your chicken coop pictures here!

Rebuilding my duck coop... Still got a good ways, gotta get the rest of the wire hung and make the door/ramp, but this is the gist of it

Of course I gotta make it homey... This is what happens when it's too hot to keep pounding nails and you find how nice the shade inside the coop feels.

Ours is a shed that we divided in order to store feed and bedding. There is also a shot of the PVC feeder that works pretty slick!

Overall it looks great. Love how the wing print on your son's shirt makes it look like the bird he is holding has a wing out. Had to "biggify" the picture to see it.

I suggest you change the roosts. The birds would appreciate a wider surface, either 3" round fence rail or 2x4 on the flat. Their feet CAN grasp but they aren't designed to do so like those of perching birds like sparrows. Note the 2 forward pointing and 2 backward pointing toes on the sparrow, nearly equal in length and the 3 long forward pointing toes and one shorter backward pointing toe on the chicken. To paraphrase the Nancy Sinatra song "These feet were made for walking".

Hey guys... Say hello to the newest hatch after 24 hours of its leg being stuck behind its head and unable to zip loose to......

Just a tiny runt right now but if it's momma (friend who owns the eggs I hatched) can keep it safe and healthy I see this little one becoming the 'Kind' or 'Queen' of the flock one day.

The little one is super cute what kind is it?

The momma is a blue frizzle and the daddy is a banta. Supper cute is right. I hope this little one does good... It's finally fluffed up now that I got most of the egg gunk off it. It's head looks like it's been slick gelled right now but I didn't want it out of the heat to long. Poor thing snuggles right up to me when I'm cleaning him... :love
I'm going to have a hard time letting this one go to his owner when she gets here today.
