Just the floor and wall frames. I found my husband looking up ideas for enlarging the coop and building an enclosed run.
T Jordan let him double it and if he triples it, EVEN BETTER! Chicken math is a real issue ya know. Just keep an open conversation going with him on what you want and stick to your guns on the issues the birds need his plans could miss. (Been there, done that twice!) Also if he is up to it and things allow for it expense wise try to get him to build the run bigger. Even if you think you have extra room outside you could put small pens out for pairs or whatever else down the road. (Wish the guys would have went 6ft farther on my run expansion last year, husband said now he does too.)
Obviously a serious case of crazy chicken lady (or in some cases chicken daddy) denial...
It's becoming much more prevalent these days!
You can tell it's a desperate case when a half dozen chickens (read 40+ and growing!) live in housing better than 50% of the human population!
It's all but terminal when other species begin to join the crowd ( turkeys, ducks, guineas, etc)
At that point, you might as well just give up and "roll with it"
Now that I've cleaned up the back of the barn and scaped it i wont have puddles in my barn any more
