Well, i mis-calculated on the water. I have 18 chickens and 4 turkeys almost full grown and i am putting 2 gal into the nipple water system per day and i can't see any obvious leaks. It has been in the low 80's for 3 or 4 days now. Difference between cool and warm weather is about 1 gallon. I am a little surprised. Chickens apparently don't retain much as someone mentioned.
It warmed up around here in a hurry didn't it??

I switched my rangers over to a larger water this week. opted today to put the smaller half gallon waterer out with them out just to keep them from running out. I do need to hurry up and get their coop done so I can move them into it.

And the floors I will use rubber roofing for the floor under there sand so the floor doesn't rot. The coop I have now I have about 6 layers of paint on the floor so it shouldn't rot.

OSB even if coated/sealed/painted will still absorb moisture from humidity and crumble internally. If you use OSB anywhere just make sure it's not the floor or you'll go walking on it one day and fall thru. But it sounds like you have a good size-up of your building issues. Wind gets pretty bad for us too and we're in the suburbs, not the country. Our garage blocks the heavy winds from our new coop.

Run framing began today. I am ready for this project to be done. :th

The quest for completion continues......

Very impressive!!! I feel like am never done, I've modified the inside of the coop and the run 3x to accommodate separation and integration of 3 generations of layers within couple of springs owning chickens.
