Meet Q-tip! This is my non-bearded showgirl hen. I have a funny story to go with this pic= I was explaining what my showgirl chickens look like to one of the ladies that lives in the nursing home where I work. We were talking about how cold it has been ( I live in Wisconsin), and she seemed concerned that the breed of chicken that I was describing to her didn't have any feathers on their necks. The next day, when I came in to work, she gave me a pile of "scarves" that she had knit for my showgirl chickens. LOL!

She's pretty and very stylish in her scarf.

Love the name Q-tip! How funny. I have a Black Oprington, Ottoline, her daughter Angelica and a friend hen Jane. Then six nestmates, all various Maran and Ameracauna crosses (my friend's breeding program got away from him!) named after the movie stars they resemble most: Greer, Audrey, Gwyneth, Maude, Robin and Columbine. Ok those last two aren't movie stars but they look like a red robin and a grey dove.
