Post Your Coop Pics

Wow! - Great looking coop Rachy!!

I like the old chair too! Do your birds use it to get to the roost. I'm going to start my roost this week end and need to determine it's height from the floor.

btw - Paint job looks great too - love the colors you chose.

Thank you

My white Pekin has a huge amount of foot feathers and she's not so agile, or good at jumping up. I knew she would prefer a chair to roost on, and yes, it also helps her get up onto the top perch. The Orps can just hop up there.
It is tricky judging the perch height for a mixed flock, lol!

Those colours took a bit of choosing, thank you for that liking them, I'm so pleased xxxxxx

Here is my first shot at building a coop...I used 95% recycled materials thanks to Hurricane Sandy (my kids didn't need the treehouse anyway)...the small coop is a found structure that I repaired and now houses my quail. I renovated and partitioned an old rotting/existing shed to act as the coop itself, the covered run is where they play during the day, and the fenced in yard is where they roam under supervision...We are first time chicken owners so any input is welcome!

Two dog pens and a utility building became my coop and run.

I use poop pans under the night roost to make it easy to keep the coop clean

I use recycle bins for the nest boxes. Also easy to clean

All that work and my girls, sometimes, like my chair better.

It looks like you have a "chick" on your shoulder. Love your coop - nice job!
