My RIR and Delawares have slowed down in the intense heat and some may be laying in the rough I can't get into. I have 8 Dark Cornish pullets I'm confining in a new coop now because they need to lay where I get the eggs. Those girls love to range far and wide. Then there is a teenage flock the dame age as the Cornish of White Jersey Giants that run far and wide with the Cornish. Both will be 6 months old mid month. I must reign them in if I'm to set eggs or have broody hens in the fall and spring. I'll get some basket pictures once I get back from town.

Cinnamon queen laid all the browns. My Polish mix laid the white and my EE is laying the super light eggs. And then quail . Actually had a all white quail egg laid a couple of days ago. Waiting on my maran and olive egger to bring more color.

I just love how beautiful all the eggs are out of our 11, 6 are laying. I was shocked when I watched our leghorn lay the 2 little round green eggs andour Americauna lay the two white/pinkish eggs. If I didn’t see it with my own eyes I would never have guess

I am in love with the random assortment of chicks we purchased who are giving us these beautiful colored eggs! We have seven chickens, 5 are laying and this is from the past three days.
