Came home to find another egg but somebody got to it first and ate it, hope I'm not going to have an egg eating problem

if an egg is soft and chickens break it when step on it they will eat it. but that is not an egg eating problem. they don't touch hard shelled eggs. I feed my chickens air dried crashed egg shells and they never eat their eggs, unless broken.

Yesterday was my first egg but today I got more than one egg!

First egg!!! So excited! My hens are 25 weeks old. Gladys has been squatting for several days now. She was the first to lay. Another hen is squatting too, so here we go!!! I'm thrilled with the size of this egg. I think it's comparable to a large egg. And it's very well formed with a nice solid shell!
