My Aussie gave me her first egg and another today, but one of BR girls joined the club this afternoon... her egg is on the right.
It's not MY first egg, but it's her first egg. And with 10 more girls yet to do the deed, hopefully I can post at least that many more times to this board.
One of my BRs who hadn't laid yet was freaking out and running in and out of the coop, up against the run fence and up and down everywhere in between this morning. I few hours later I find her first egg out in the run at the bottom of the pop door ramp... it's the giant on the right of the other eggs.
No wonder she was freaking! That's her intro to egg-laying... I guess it's all easier after that!
One (of the two) of our Easter Eggers laid her first egg today. Her name is Lola, and she's 29 weeks old today. In case anyone is keeping track or wondering, she was bought from MPC, and her egg has a mint color.
