I got my first egg on Thursday!!!! Got another one yesterday. Went to the coop and found the culprit. It's my Ethel. I hate to brag(LOL) but it's the most beautiful eggs you ever saw!!!!!

Oh, and I found TWO eggs today, so that means I have at least two laying now.

Ethel is a golden buff. Her eggs are a pretty brown now. And I have gotten one every day since. I have two of that breed. She was hatched September 17 so I was surprised to get an egg now. My other one is Lucy and she laid her first yesterday. It was a really weird one. I will post a pic of it.Looks like it was painted white then wiped off! These are my first eggs ever so I am really excited!

Bama, your girls' eggs are very round. The ones I'm getting from my Rocks are more pointy. More "egg-shaped". I guess it's a breed thing?

By the way, there's been a lot of cackling going on outside today. One of the Rocks is sitting in the nest box, and the other two are giving her vocal encouragement. LOL!

UPDATE: Yep! Just got another egg. It's still warm. I'm going to cook it right now.
