one of myBuff Orpington hens laid their first egg!!!!

the whole yard was talking about it, all the chickens and the goats chimed in too including my dogs, I was actually afraid to go in the coop because I thought there was a predator in there the way everyone one was talking. lol

but here it is my hen is 29 weeks old

how long till the rest start laying? they are the same age

Today! I found them today!
Our first ever TWO eggs

sooooooo happy!
(and now DH can say they're earning their keep!)

YAY I was worried about the bag of layer feed that I bought last week, but my Bonnie looked SO close to POL
- and I am so happy ... I was right!

I imagine it is more likely or atleast equally so that one of the hens was laying eggs somewhere else in the coup for a couple of days and they haven't been found yet. We have one hen that laid her first 4-5 eggs in random spots until she saw other eggs in the nest boxes.

First eggs ever today!!!! We got two! Chickens are 22 weeks and a few days. We are so excited!!!
