With prey animals, predators are sure to follow. Had a pair of eastern coyotes move in 2 years ago. Hasn't stopped the deer from foraging in our woods & giving birth here. I've had a coyote & deer cross paths within minutes of each other in the middle of the night. Deer are pretty good at evasive maneuvers, I've figured out.
True though, they won't always get away. That's nature, that's life.
