Hey, what better choice for a chicken site than a "meal" for a chicken???

BTW, while she was big on the yogurt 3 days ago, the day after I discovered the sour crop problem (she also has some impaction), she hasn't been interested in eating until today. Maybe the special drink I first made last night did some good. Today the yogurt is a no go but apple and cat food are quite popular. Poor thing, life in an aquarium in the house is pretty boring for a chicken used to free ranging.

No rules on ingredients, glad it snuck through! She's clearly better today than yesterday. Eating, talking to me when I talk to her. I'm massaging her crop several times a day, I can feel what seems to be hay stem in there so I'm trying to keep it loose. Not a huge mass thankfully.

I used to buy these cans since they are supposed to be healthy for you. Found them to be a little on the bony side.

so I switched to these..

I use in salads and sandwiches, or I just wolf them right out of the can.

Just so Connie doesn't think I prepare meals only for chickens


Not exciting enough to bother with prep pictures. Of course I knew ahead of time that DW and DD2 wouldn't touch it. But DD2 brought her boyfriend * and he liked it enough for seconds.

*Peruvian student she met working the lifts at Smuggs. Summer vacation job for him, seasonal winter job for her. He goes back to Peru Monday, she goes back to the lifts.
