Potential brain damage from hypothermia? Please help diagnose this Turkey!

Turkeys are very hardy, and can sleep outside in bad weather without issues. I'm thinking yours has something else going on that has caused her to be weak. It sounds like more than just a fall to me. :hmm You may want to find a vet to see her.

Of course, a vet is always best, but if the vet was closed today, they will be closed tomorrow too.

A sick bird is almost always hypothermic, and it's been my experience that they really do best when kept in a room that's 80-85 degrees.

She just pooped again! It was almost entirely water but she also took one actually corrective step for her balance before falling down again. Progress!

I’ve raised turkeys for 3 years now and they are very hardy - what happened to Meatball was that she fell and got stuck in about 4 inches of mud. She was soaking wet and that’s caused the hypothermia.

She seems to be gurgling a bit as she breathes now. Should I be worried or will it go away?
Gurgling is a sign she has aspirated, so not good. Can you take a video of her breathing, upload it to YouTube or Vimeo then copy and paste the link here?

Here you go - she is hissing at my cat in this. I didn’t make it to 200mL but don’t want her to be without food all day. Do I still try to give her water? Or do I wait for the gurgle to stop?
