Poultry Breeding & Showing Class in Sonoma County CA

I have some silkie cockerels available if anyone is interested - 2 buff and 2 white. The buffs are 8 months old and the whites are 4 months old. I am not going to be able to go to the class (previous commitment on Sunday) but I am pretty sure that Cheryl would be willing to transport them. They are all very friendly, and I just want to find nice homes for them. They come from good breeders - if you are interested pm me and I can send pictures and resumes.

Have fun everyone, and I'm sorry I won't be able to attend!

Will they be ok strapped to the top of the car?

I went to the Center today and picked up the keys. It was a little hard to find. The Center is behind 24 Hour Fitness, if that helps.
There are brooms, dustpans, etc. there for us to use for clean up. We need to do a good job cleaning, so that I get my deposit back.

What is really wonderful is that they are not dividing the room because we are the only ones renting that day. So we have a huge space!

The other good news is that I was able to borrow the 4 holes of LF exhibition cages that Walt requested for the demo. A big thanks to Heather Vermazen, who was willing to loan her cages!

Those of you who are bringing birds for the class, (or any birds that will be entering the building) there will be a health inspection by a CA poultry health inspector before you bring the birds inside.

I'm going to send out one more email to everyone before Sunday. There are 26 people signed up.

For those who are not familiar with the area, Bing Maps shows the 4-H Center in the correct location. Google Maps does not. So, I'm wondering how accurate people's GPS are going to be.

Anybody have some advice on which highways to avoid Sunday morning and evening, due to heavy traffic?

I usually take 12 to go to that area. A friend of mine drove me, yesterday and showed me alternate routes that she thought were better. One was a windy road past Calistoga. The trip home was equally windy roads up Mt. Veeder and Berryessa. I think I'll stick to 12 unless the traffic will be bad.

For those coming from the south get on to 101 at the Richmond San Rafael bridge or at Vallejo at hwy 37.

The 4H building is behind the strip mall in Rohnert Park. Drive behind the buildings if you don't see it right away. (north/west side of the shopping center).
