Assyra is such a communicator. She is so intelligent too. And very emotive. Wow. When you focus only on her does she calm down?

I didn't know new birds disrupted flock ranking. Now I see why people keep the young ones away from the older ones.

The people on this forum are gems and it is so fun to chat with them about birds like ducks, geese. Especially because these birds are not mainstream pet. And we're so like minded in our love for these birds. And the stories you tell are so funny. Plus your knowledge about all things fowl is amazing. Very impressed.

Yes she is! No she is a pretty spastic goose she usually just honks in my face very loudly and I talk to her and pet her.If I'm paying attention to her in any way she is happy she just loves attention if you try to ignore her she'll bite your legs and pants until you have to look at her or say something to her she won't take that.To get me angry ignoring me in any way ticks me off really quickly and my goose is the same way she can't stand being ignored. Her loud voice helps prevent that from happening!

I agree very much so!!! Haha thanks I've had to mess up a lot and learn a lot to get where I'm at and I'm still learning all the time sometimes it's review to XD they keep me from getting bored that's for sure! I've always got something new to clean!

My day today:

I took my ducklings and put them in a pen outside with a bin to hide in for predatory birds and shade.I gave them a big bowl of water and I'm hoping they'll weed their little area so my brother can plant some vegetables there. They ran around in the grass and made a mud puddle and danced in it.

I let my ferret play in the chicken coop for about 20 minutes he jumped around and my goose Damascus hissed like crazy at him even though he didn't do a thing to her.He then chased my rabbit for a minute but then my bunny chased him and then I put my bunny away and let my ferret run around outside for a few minutes and then put him back in his cage and fed him.

Our horse keeps magically escaping we can't figure out how but he was out yesterday at our neighbors again and he didn't feel good when I put him back in his pen but he seems back to himself today which is good because I was a little worried.I think he just couldn't get any water when he was at the neighbors and it made him a bit dehydrated because he was really thirsty when I put him up.

Our cat Gracie almost never is around she likes our other neighbors black berry bushes more. And he feeds her which has made her chubby from the extra food little stinker. But she came and slept in my tent last night I've been sleeping outside since its been pretty warm and I woke up to her a few inches from my face.I pet her and used her as a pillow for a few minutes she growled she didn't like being a pillow XD and then I sat up and my other cat had gotten in to I was a bit surprised but they are pretty good at getting the zipper open.

And the rest was just the regular animal chores.I kind of went in the opposite order of how my day went XD

Heehee, a spastic goose. You are right about ignoring. It is the worse thing you can do to someone. It's even worse than negative attention in a weird way. But I have to admit her honking in your face like that is cute considering the source it's coming from. Even though her voice is loud, don't you love the sound of it? She is just a bird with webs and has to assert herself

You are welcome. I think it's awesome you take on the responsibility and the initiative to administer medical attention to your animals when they need it.

What a fun day. I wonder how your horse escapes. But it's good you got him back and he drank and perked up. Dehydration for any of us is so dangerous.

He doesn't ever hope fences which makes it really odd that he keeps getting out.He doesn't get out unless there is a clear hole in the fence but I didn't find any :/ and if he's hopping our fence that means we have to build a new one and that's not easy or cheap.I just built a fence recently and it was hard work but worth it when we had finished.Yes it is but luckily he is back to himself!
