My goose Assyra is still laying on 2 chicken eggs it's day 21 today & I've seen nothing so far but I really hope they hatch I haven't candled them since she went broody but I'm hoping they will hatch if fertile

My four chicks I hatched on March 4th are really big now & fully feathered & have been for quite awhile they can't join the flock still for about 2 months but they are enjoying the freedom they are allowed with a few of the bigger birds while being supervised.

The BO chicks & ducklings are growing really really fast I can't even believe it they drink a ton of water and eat a lot now to! The ducklings love to dive under the water and splash water at each other!

The snake has been very content since fed and will be for quite awhile.

The iguana is eating a lot as usual and my ferret is still sleeping as always he sleeps a lot!

My dogs love going down to the coop every day along with all of the cats who stalk my chickens but then run away when spotted I think they wish they could eat them but are too scared to try mostly because of my big hen Muttly who isn't afraid to stand up to the big cats if she feels slightly threatened LOL! The dogs just sleep or follow me around back and forth as I do regular chores and hope I let them eat chicken feed

My rabbit keeps trying to sleep in Assyra's gigantic nest he feels there is more then enough room for the both of them where Assyra does not agree.

what's Assyra do to the rabbit when he tries to sleep in her nest?

She bites him and pulls at his fur till he gets out XD but he's stubborn and comes back when he thinks she's not paying attention.

she is funny. Wants her space and he does not care. Creatures are so wonderful.

My chicks got coccidiosis recently but they are being treated for it now.The March 4th clutch that is.The BO chicks were fed to our boa's a bit sooner then planned and my ducklings are giant now and are growing out shiny green/black feathers so i think there cayuga's and the drakes and geese are in deep love XD and the roosters are finally getting along!!!

What is that disease or illness, poult? Sounds icky. Glad you are treating them.

Your 3some are getting big. How fun. They are ducks. How sweet that the drakes and geese are in love with them. Do all 7 of them graze together?

They have coccidiosis which means they have a parasite that's pretty much eating their intestines but they are doing much better since I started giving them Corid powder in their water I put 2.5 tablespoons in a 5 gallon bucket which lasts about a day.My ducklings I have to give a 1 gallon water 2-3 times a day because they spill a lot of it.

Oh no I just meant my two Muscovy drakes are in love with my two geese my ducklings still can't go outside yet my geese are still trying to kill them and probably will for a month or two longer but then I should be able to put them together but then again my drakes have to be able to mate with them so it might be longer to prevent injuries.But I'm about to start putting them in a little pen so they can eat grass and graze but the adults won't be able to touch them their almost fully feathered and almost big enough I won't worry as much about hawks but I still will give them so sort of coverage to hide from the sun and hawks.

So my two roosters Heliotrope and Maxwell don't get in brutal fights anymore but Maxwell is still being a bit meaner then I'd like.Maxwell is the top rooster and Heliotrope is low ranking now and he's getting depressed because of it.Such a whiner like his dad.Ugh.His dad did this he would beat the heck out of the other roosters and if he somehow lost he'd get depressed and be all sad until he won again.Then he'd be superior jerk.So much attitude! The rooster Dello has been permanently separated from the flock because of him overmating and being overly aggressive to me and my family but he still gets to interact enough he doesn't get lonely.

My iguana is shedding which makes him look horrendous.He's got flaky skin all over and when it falls off he eats it.The collard greens are making him get pretty big though which is exciting since I think I stunted his growth from feeding to many bananas XD he loved them so much but they don't have enough nutritional value that he needs.

My dogs are being the usual stinkers.My lab mix needs a good brushing again I hate getting out that winter coat it's such a hassle but he looks so nice when I'm done and he always dances in circles afterwards! My puppy is being her usual spastic self she is so cute.Her dad I'm afraid won't be around much longer the days are getting longer and his body is having a hard time dealing with it.

My ferret has got his summer weight on.He weighs less in the summer I think it's a natural way to deal with heat and in the winter he gets a little chubby I think to keep warm although he has like a bed set for a king! I love him to death! My little mischevious weasel!

I set a terrarium up for the tarantula I want to get but it may be a bit longer being I have to have money first of all XD

My turtle ate the newt eggs I put in his tank 0-0 I guess I should have expected that.

The cats are absolutely adoring the spring/summer weather and I've seen them catching the moths at night around the deck lights.So cute! They have so much attitude though I don't even know why! They just love to be mad at life even though they have a whole forest to explore.Odd little things they are.

The hens have found a new nest which I have yet to discover I just know they have because I've been getting so few eggs in their nests that I know of.

Gopher snake is being itself you never know how the wild caught ones are going to end up.They are all mean when first caught just about but some lighten up and some don't this one is mysterious it hasn't decided if it likes me or not yet so I'm just waiting .

Bunnies are doing great as well eating the wild plants I give them.

Your pets are quite the menagerie of personalities. I really enjoyed reading about all of them and it was an easy read the way you broke them down by paragraph. I can't believe the roosters. And why would the girl geese be so brutal to the new ducks? Bird or animal behavior baffles me. I used to think that it was the human species that was always so violent and awful. But the animal kingdom has its share of cruelty too. Although it doesn't necessarily change my view of animals like it does people. So many humans are horrid and nasty idiots with evil intent. I don't think animals are like that. Over all I believe animals are innocent. And in some respects I prefer animals over people. But I have to say that on BYC I have met so many wonderful and kind people such as yourself that it's kinda put my feelings towards humans in a better perspective.

Two: They get super jealous when I kiss them,talk to them,hold them,etc.They want all of my attention especially Assyra who is by far the meanest and will bump me and honk and nip my legs when I hold any other pets so their just more pets I give love to.The animal kingdom is unbelievably cruel but they are innocent.Because they don't have nearly as much empathy or the knowledge we have.I agree in most cases animals win my favor over people.But there are good people especially on this forum.

Assyra is such a communicator. She is so intelligent too. And very emotive. Wow. When you focus only on her does she calm down?

I didn't know new birds disrupted flock ranking. Now I see why people keep the young ones away from the older ones.

The people on this forum are gems and it is so fun to chat with them about birds like ducks, geese. Especially because these birds are not mainstream pet. And we're so like minded in our love for these birds. And the stories you tell are so funny. Plus your knowledge about all things fowl is amazing. Very impressed.
