Ok...I ordered 2 dozen shipped silkie eggs. I was concerned about viability due to the fact that one box came smashed in on one side and the other carton was upside down in the box. Last night was night 6 and I decided to candle just 2 eggs from each batch to see if any were developing, all four were!!! Yay! Then last night we had a big storm and the power was out for 3-4 hours....how worried should I be? Is my hatch doomed to fail??? So upset by this....what do you all do when your power goes out?

At day 6 I wouldn't worry too much. I've had eggs get pretty cool during a power outage and most of them will still hatch. In nature a hen will get off the eggs about every day to eat and poop. In the early days of her incubation she may stay off for a good while.

I've had to deal with a lot of power outages at all stages of incubation. Late in the incubating period is probably more critical for the eggs than in the early stages. ;)
