I've decided--I'm going to go ahead and take the plunge, and leave at 5 AM to be there for the sales barn opening! I don't want to miss out on the chicken of my dreams just because I wanted to sleep in.

I'm looking for a crele OEGB hen or two, porcelain OEGB or d'Uccle (prefer OEGB, but I'd take a d'Uccle), possibly some other unusual colors of OEGB, maybe some nice seramas, and perhaps bantam sumatras if any are around! Also, I sent a PM about some bantam silver phoenix hens. I'm trying to limit myself to just a few birds (five or six at the most), but it really depends on what shows up! Boy, I'm excited to check out the sales barn as well as the showbirds.

I have some FBCM chicks that are in the 3-4 week range. How old is your chick? I'd like to purchase 6 of your barne eggs. I have a hen setting on some ceramic eggs now. Was gonna get her to "adopt" the chicks, but the chicks were so obviously not day-olds when they arrived, and then we got dumped on with snow and had no power for 4 days. I was afraid the hen might give them the boot while I was at work, so into a box and over-to my neighbors house (she had heat and we didn't) the chicks went...and now I'm in need of a "surrogate hen" t-shirt for her!

Sorry, don't mean to talk out of line but I was just going to throw it out there that if you have FBCM still available we could be interested. We have barred rocks, rir, and ameraucanas atm that are 4 weeks old and I would love to add a few dark layers to the flock before they get too much bigger. Thanks!

WOOT! We'll have a BYC Booth (or at least a piece of ground) where we can meetup! I'll try to setup a banner so peeps can find it and if I can get info about the exact location I'll post it here.

I'll probably get there around 10:00 am on Saturday and whoever is interested can meetup at 2:00 for a BYC hello!

My DW is going to try to get off work a bit earlier then usual tomorrow night so that we can try to get there a bit earlier than planned. Yay! Now to convince her that we do in fact need more chickens. We already got 12 chicks a few days ago lol. Super excited!

Hooray, I'm so excited for the show!

I'm officially picking up two bantam silver phoenix hens, and maybe a couple of other birds depending on what pops up in the sales barn.

Looking forward to seeing the BYC booth and the meet-up.

I want a "Chillin' with my peeps" magnetic bumper sticker if they'll be available at the show!
