PQ's Self Blues. Has anyone ever heard of this breed or is it fake?

This may be a bit off-topic, but is there a thread that discusses blue genetics (both Blue and Self-Blue) in-depth? I know that there are other self-blue phenotypes out there that do not include the lavender genes, but I haven't seen an in-depth discussion or pictures in the genetics forums. I find it very interesting and would love to learn more.

I may be wrong, as I've much to learn about bird genetics, but I understood 'self blue' to mean that they would produce a consistent 'blue' in hatches and on down the line.
The opposite of the 'self blue' were unreliable consistency, in that you would and could get non-blue, blue splash, white and/or black from a parent(s) that looked blue. (I think in order to get blue, you cross black with white feather'd birds)
Meaning that the blue was locked in genetically in those that are 'self blue' and would always produce blue; and the others could not be guaranteed to produce always straight blue birds.

BTW, I did also own a beautiful pair just like the OP's birds pictured. They were absolute darlings! Unfortunately, I never got the chance to test the hatching eggs of these two, as while I had them, they didn't settle in enough to produce eggs. A shame....
But when I have birds again in the future, I may try them again. I love the 'blue'.

Enjoy them!

A Self Blue fowl is one that is solid blue with no lacing or other color and may or may not breed true.
A Blue ("Andalusian Blue") fowl is one that is Blue with Lacing and will breed as listed below -
Blue to Blue = 50% Blue, 25% Splash, 25% Black
Splash to Blue = 50% Blue, 50% Splash
Splash to Black = 100% Blue
Splash to Splash = 100% Splash
Blue to Black = 50% Blue, 50% Black
A Lavender fowl is one that a solid Blue with no lacing or other colors as with the Self Blue but will breed true. (Lavender + Lavender = Lavender)

More and more breeders today are breeding the lacing out of Blue ("Andalusian Blue" ) and creating a Self Blue fowl.
