Prairie Flower Block Swap

Welcome to the group Wanda!

The layer cake I was going to use was a daily deal from MSQC. it was way off on some. I'm bad enough without missing a quarter inch to begin with and crooked. They just kept getting worse. The brand is Free Spirit.

I have a poor little hen that I think might have peritonitis. Yellow nasty tail. She's of course one of our ffavorite little sweethearts. Her poor mama went the same way.
call MSQC and they will make it right, that is a lot of money spent to go to waste and they need to know, sorry about your little hen,

Welcome to our great little group Wanda! The more the merrier! So sorry to hear about your hen. Is there anything you can do to fix it? It's always the ones we love the most!

Katsdar~Did you have any trouble with your layer cake you ordered from msqc for this quilt? I've not used a layer cake before and like chicalot, If its off, I will be so disappointed! I am such a perfectionist, when it comes to my squares being square, it can get very frustrating for me. I wanted to use the layer cake to make this go easier. I have the one I ordered on the daily deal, but I haven't really looked that closely at them. I will look at them and see if they are off.

Hi,
My layer cake is good, really ladies please call MSQ so they can be aware of the problem and correct it, even if it is a daily deal that is still a lot of money not to be satisfied. I hope it's not mine was fine.

I'm giving the hen Duramycin but it's unlikely to be a cure.

I can use the layer cake for other smaller projects but will send them a few pics. I have other fabric that is fine from them. Must have just been a bad cut in that one.

I checked the layer cake I purchased earlier, the one the prairie flower is made of in her video, and it is spot on. I didn't check every one, but went thru randomly and they are ok.

We all must be sewing and sewing cause out fingers are not typing!!! Hope all are doing well, oh remember I posted the pic of the 2.5 inch strips that were white on white and I thought they had grey in it, well that was just the pic. it is all white. I just wanted you to know in case you wanted to order some.

I actually put my sewing on hold to wait for a seems sew easy guide. The thought of doing all of those diagonals was too much without some assistance. I used it tonight a little and love it. No more marking or folding ! :)

Katsdar~I'm not sewing yet. I'm working on getting my first time container garden going. Finding good quality organic potting soil has been a challenge, but I found some. I'm going to conduct an experiment with 3 brands of soil to see which one is the most successful. I'm starting out with carrots. I have to round up some kind of containers. I may go ahead and use 5 gallon buckets, but I really want something a little wider. I also may use plastic tubs. Then I will plant tomatoes, green peppers, and some onions. The weather around here has been all over the board. One day it may be 72 with lows in the 50's, the next day in the 40's, lows in the twenties!! Last week was one and this week is one of those. There is a freeze warning tonight here. We had rain and all day steady 50 mph winds Saturday. Lots of trees down and electrical outages. No outage at my house, but around Cincinnati. Before the day was out, we had snow flurries!!!! I'm planning on ordering my layer cake next week sew I can get started!!
