prayer warriors (following Jesus Christ, everyone welcome)

This might seem like a bit of a stupid question but I’ve never really ever actually read the whole Bible or even most of it but I want to start so is there like an easier place to start or anything?? I know I should probably just go in chronological order or whatever but I guess I was hoping maybe there was someplace easier to start for a total beginner like me as ridiculous as that sounds.

The Gospels. That is the best place to start!

It doesn't sound ridiculous at all.....
I'm certainly no expert either here but if you Google Reading your Bible in a year, you will find a schedule you can go by to read the whole Bible in one year. However, I would suggest getting a devotional that fits your personality, are you female or male, and do you have specific questions or just wanting to grow closer to God in general, meaning it will have scriptures pertaining to that. You can obtain some very reasonable priced ones on Amazon. Or if you are techy, you can join a blog that will send you an email each day with a verse and a devotional to get started. These are easier ways to start reading daily and as you grow in your relationship with Christ, reading the chronological order will become easier and more fulfilling.

Thank you!! I just found some articles about reading it every day that were very helpful & I think I’m going to try some of the tips to remember. But I also think I’m going to try the devotional things. I actually think I have several on my bookshelf upstairs and I’ve occasionally read them, kinda go through phases, but I need to pick one and start again and actually do it. I have an email that sends a devotional thing but I usually skip it  I’ll start reading it though. I do read the other email with a daily verse though. I have the Bible app on my phone that has a lot of plans and stuff and I have a lot saved but never remember to do them. I want to, hence why I have all this stuff I guess, but I’m really bad at actually doing it. Guess I’ll start doing those though before I start reading the Bible from the beginning or whatever hah I don’t really have specific questions or whatever, just want to start getting closer I guess. Really been slacking hah  I thought if I started doing that regularly it might help

The version of the Bible that you use can make your first experiences with it more meaningful also. Lots of opinions and debate about that. You want a version that is a reliable translation. May I suggest NIV or ESV? Also, the website Bible Gateway is helpful. If you come to a verse you struggle with...you can click on different versions and read it in several to help clarify. They also offer commentaries. Another suggestion is Moody Radio.....many, many wonderful programs that will help you along the way. Insight for Living...Today in the Word, Truth For Life....you'll find what you like and then tune in!! :D

Thank you!! This is all extremely helpful!! I’m going to try all this! :D

I actually use The YouVersion Bible App, its a wonderful app that has numerous translations of the Bible, daily passages and reading plans you can subscribe to do. It also sends you reminders of what plan you are reading, and allows you to highlight passages, keep notes, and bookmark spots.
