Praying for the family Has there been any news I clicked the 2nd link but could not find any information. I hope the girls makes a full recovery. The dad must feel so bad. I know when we have the gun out we are so careful about how we handle it. To the poster who asked why people have guns. Mine is because the 2nd amendment tells me I can plus for protection.

To answer Newfoundland. Most people have guns for personal protection or hunting. Statistics show that more people get harmed with their own guns, but I can sure understand why people feel safer with them. Very few people percentage wise feel they need guns to protect themselves from the government. That's mostly hysteria driven propaganda. It would be scary if the majority of gun owners felt that way. It's surprising how many people own guns in the US. If things ever get bad enough that we have to use our guns against the government then we are truly SOL. IMO you will never see US troops doing what Syria or Libya have done to their people.
