Oh this is wonderful! She has quite the following. She has survived SO much. She is meant to be here. She enriches all of our lives!Update:
The maggots (as of last nite) are all gone. The neosporin did the trick. My petsitters say that her leg looks just like her good leg, and that a scab (not the bad kinda scab, the healing scab) is growing over it. Its still raw as of last night, but it will probably grow over in a few days. They sprinkled permethian into the coop and on Gloria for safe measures. She's having a really hard time walking, probably because the pain level is high from the rawness of that leg. When I get back from vacation this saturday, i will give her some asprin or metacam to relieve the pain if it still hurts her.
So please pray the maggots are gone for good and no other hen gets them, and that her leg heals over normally, no huge scab this time.... and that the pain goes away. Who knows, maybe I'll call today and hear she's 100% better!![]()
