Ok, so I had one poult hatch out the eggs I had and I figured I would get some chicks to "train" him. Well, my mother has banties so I had the bright idea to get some so there would be a place for the "trainers" to go when they all got old enough. All good for 5 weeks. I head to work one morning and get a call on the way from my wife asking "is the turkey supposed to be smoking?"
I turned around and go back to the house. Turkey decided to stand under the lamp and had scorched some of his back and wing feathers, otherwise ok. Note to self, Turkeys get way bigger faster than banties. Moved lamp higher.
