Hi All, I am in the process of completing my run for my 6 pekins. To prevent digging from the outside I am going to do a HC apron. I read a lot about digging down and burying the HC, but I don't quite understand what that means.

Here is my question...I have a sloped backyard, and to make the run level, I had to dig up some areas to lay the base and build up other areas. One corner in particular is built up about the height of a standard cinder block. I have filled this in with dirt and soil from the other digging.

How do I prevent predators from getting under this part? Do I still attach the HC to my base board and run the apron down to the rest of the yard and out 2 feet? If I do that, should I put something like pavers or bricks up against it?

Any ideas are appreciated, I want to keep my babies safe.

Thanks

Thanks, I figured some pics might help. Here is the corner I had to raise to keep it level. Thoughts on keeping critters out.

One of the links I posted shows the apron bent up to meet the frame,
yours would be similar, just farther from the ground.
x2. Attach the wire to the wood frame, run it down past the concrete block and to ground level, and then bend out at 90 degrees so it sits flat on the ground, and secure it to the ground with landscape staples.

Great thanks, Should I add any blocks or anything on top of the HC in front of the concrete block?
No need to add anything on top of the apron mesh, just make sure it is well attaching to the framing and the outer edge on the ground is pinned down until the grass grow back up thru it(good to cut the grass very short before laying mesh down).
