Predator scars

My chicken escaped near death experience with some sort of predator. Her little chest and belly are bare as it plucked all her feathers out and her eye is swollen shut. There are no vets nearby that will do chickens. Suggestions for helping her heal/comfort appreciated. She is a spotted Polish

Sounds like the feather loss is not a medical issue, but the eye could get infected if untreated.

You will need to pry the eye open and flush it generously with saline solution. Then, if you can find it at the feed store, get terramycin eye antibiotic ointment or you can use plain Neosporin in the eye twice a day until it heals.

Prompt treatment is crucial or she could risk losing her sight.
