I do not dissagree with eliminating a threat to live stock/pets/family/property given that the owner has taken the proper precautions to protect that property. If someone has NO fence around their yard and has free ranging chickens, that is partly their own fault for not protecting their pets as well as the fault of the dog owner for not following leash laws. I have seen many people mention that they will shoot any dog for just being on their property, regardless if the animal is posing a threat or not and their yard is not fenced - those are the people I have issue with. Killing a dog that is posing a threat and you have taken measures to protect your flock is a different story and something i do not have issue with so long as no laws are broken.
We have a responsibility to deal kindly with one another, as people, we shouldn't forget that regardless of ones own bias.
