Just checked the little guy and widened the hole just enough so I could peer in there and check his progress. His bill is near the side of the egg and the hole is on the top. The little fella keeps sticking his little bill back through the hole in the membrane and putting it under the membrane.

I cannot move the membrane by his face because there’s a lot of active veins plus I’d have to open the shell too much. So I’m leaving him be for a couple of hours and hoping for the best. I will report back.

Think he’ll be ok till then?

Just checked him. He’s fine. Still has active veins so I’m gonna let him sit a while. I chipped a bit off the hole. His bill is exposed now.

Yep! He is partially responsible for helping my little black bibbed hatch! He’s definitely conspiring already!

Here’s where the fourth little fella is at. Doing well and he’s absorbed a lot since this morning. Opened the hole a bit more and moistened the membrane. Got some large active veins still. Letting him be and I’ll check in a few hours.
